UP Monas Akan Terapkan E-Ticket

Monas to Apply E-Ticketing System

An effort control visitor and street vendor in the National Monument (Monas) keep being done by the Monas Management Unit recently. As planned, the management will apply electronic ticket or e-ticketing system for each transaction.

It aims to simplify our monitoring. From the Monas entrance, visitor must already pay using e-ticketing

Events at Monas will Be Limited

According to Monas Management Unit Head, Rini Hariani, e-ticketing system is planned to be applied from Monas' entrance. Unlike this time, visitors only buy ticket when they go up to top of the Monas.

"It aims to simplify our monitoring. From the Monas entrance, visitor must already pay using e-ticketing. Thus we can know how many people are coming in and out," she explained, Friday (11/7).

She assessed, such way is more effective to prevent street vendors. At each entrance, will be placed the card reader machine that cuts the card balance each time when get into Monas. The card will be divided into two types, namely subscription card and disposable card.

"We also want to build a toilet facility in front of the entrance, thus visitors do not have to buy something from street vendors, but there will be drinks machine. All payments using the card, instead of cash," she asserted.

Hariani told, e-ticketing system will be applied in 2016 because it is still in study process. If it is successful, two entrances would be added at the Monas IRTI and in front of Elephant Museum.

"Perhaps, we involve DKI Bank to the system, because it belongs to the city administration as well. The photo officers will be asked for a debit machine. By so, it can really become a pilot for non-cash system," she uttered.
